memories on mother's day evening....

"perhaps there is something more powerful to experience than a perfect Mother: the wonder of a committed mother who simply humbles herself."
{this photo is from a baby shower for Jake.
My mom hoped to see her grandson be born into this world,
but she died in march and he was born in july.
in my limited understanding and imagining of heaven, she knows him now....
since there is no time barrier in heaven.  sigh.}

"i will wait on the Lord...
i will hope in Him.
here am i and the children the Lord has given me!"

Isaiah 8:17-18

"as for man, his days are as grass.
as a flower of the field, he flourishes, but the wind passes over it, and it is gone,
and it's place shall know it no more.
but the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting"

Psalm 103:15-17

happy mother's day

  2. Im so glad to hear that your day was a good one. Your mom was a beautiful woman and Ive so enjoyed meeting her through your tributes and photos.
I think Ive told you this but my grandmother was buried the day before I was born. She was my moms best friend in the world and her only (dying) wish was to stay around long enough to meet the baby. God did not grant that wish but I know that someday I'll get to meet her in heaven. What a sweet meeting that will be! Im sure of the same for your mom and your son.
    Have a beautiful Monday!
    XO,
    Sarah
