we stepped out of the box

we stepped out of the box.
the water color box.
i pulled out all my random acrylic paints
and we got bird houses from the clearance section of Michael's.
the boys got rockets and Ella got an "up" house.
that's what they decided to call it.
even though we had never seen that movie.







Ella, in particular LOVED this project.
she kept saying, "this is BEAUUUUTIFUL"


then Ella went down for a nap, and the boys and I watched "Up" for the first time.
Jake and I cried.
I recognized TONS of details from one of my favorite Wildflowers Photography shoots.
Fun painting time.
good movie.
i am gonna miss summer, i think.
