today i wore a onesie.

yep.
it is a onesie  (1-sy, won-sie?)...with coo-lots (coollots, cool lots, cu-lots.....um.......)
i am not sure if either of these descriptions are even words....
yah, here it is again...
yes those are boots with it...i am gutsy.
have you seen that baby at target?
floral. big bow over the boobs.
i rocked that puppy today at d-land.

we ditched school.
got krispy kreme.
and went to the happiest place on earth(that is a very questionable name, btw).

we had a dandy time.
until naptime came.
and no one was napping.
and after a late night watching "pupunzel" on the garage, a nap was very very necessary.
ella freaked out that her ice cream was served in a cup instead of a cone.
yep.
delicious strawberry ice cream smothered in way too many sprinkles....was in. a. cup.
when i handed it to her she gave me the "what is this sh*%" look and busted out in tears and carrying on.
for 20 minutes.
my other (nice) children were eating sweetly.
what could i do?
throw all the ice-cream way and leave the park?
no.
i sat down in the shade and turned her away from us while she said over and over in a super naughty pouty voice, "i am not your daughter"
how naughty is that?
i feel bad for the people sitting around us.
she was pretty loud.
but, really, what could i do.
well, i guess besides NOT taking my kids to disneyland when they need a nap ;)
yah....

we finally ignored her for long enough that she joined into our determinedly calm game of 20 questions.
and ate some "disgusting" sprinklishious ice cream.
happiest place on earth.

i am so behind on reading and commenting on my favorite blogs.
i miss you guys!
life has got in my way lately.
but i guess that is a good thing right?
thank you for all your love and support with the posts about my mom.
really.
that makes a difference in my life.

yesterday

yesterday i spent a lovely morning with ella and our friends joy and gracie.
we had breakfast and then went to disneyland for a few hours.
ella had such fun with a little girl her age (this just doesn't happen often).
and i had a blast with my friend too!
everyone wins.
i can't WAIT until we do it again!

on a side note:
i usually leave my big camera at home on disney trips, accept for our first trip, but i just felt like i should be the one to man the camera (on auto, mind you) for this sweet lady that is used to constantly being behind the camera. she is so pretty and makes it her business to bring the beauty out in the people around her.
i was trying to upload a photo that the disney people took of all four of us at the front of the park.(can't figure it out!)
it was so funny.
the old guy manning the camera was posing us all (hands on hips!) and telling us not to be afraid of letting our kids wear sunglasses in pictures since they were squinting a lot...ok, maybe it was just funny to me...to hear this funny clueless guy give joy photography advise, but it was one of my favorite parts of the day. really.

just me and ella- dreams do come true

these are my favorites from my happy day with ella at disneyland.
we started out a bit rough since she had NO IDEA what disneyland even was, and she was crying and having a naughty princess fit in the car as we passed the mall.
she was thinking that disneyland meant the disney store.....
it was one of those trips where you are just turning up the music and trying not to yell at your 3 year old that she should be so grateful to you....and hoping that you are not making a big mistake in organizing the whole day around one so volatile.
i guess i don't even need to tell you how quickly her little frown turned upside down, when she got a load of all the happiness and treats at disneyland.
it was a very good day.
i will remember it forever.
remind me of this day when i am about to pass out from another load of laundry, and she poops in her panties and someone throws up on me, and my car breaks down, ok?
cause that day will come.
but this was NOT one of THOSE days.
it was.....
delicious happiness.
we got her a pass for her birthday, so i did not rush, knowing i could bring her back soon...even next week if i wanted.
we went on the train, and small world
and looked at the "meet the princess" area (ella is not interested in touching or talking to any character),
the carousel, we had lunch in new orleans square and then i got a call from uncle shane (remember our computer hero) and he and Jen were visiting disneyland too!
so we met them at pirates of the caribbean and we all went on that.
ella was not scared.
tough little cookie.
i remember taking jake on when he was about her age and he trembled in my arms through a lot of it....
ella was pushing my hands away when i was trying to snuggle her.
funny huh?
we looked at aurora's castle,
and then.....
the finale.
the peter pan ride.
oh yah. she was beyond happy!
yelling out to the characters, "i'm coming john! coming michael!"  "mom! you hear dat! the crocodile music!" "i'm flyyyyying!"
it was a solid 2 minutes of bliss.
she could have stayed all day....
but we had to get home for jake and ty, so off we went
not sure about ella, but CANNOT WAIT to go back.

hellooooooo friends!

no time to talk tonight!
i am off to a viewing of the polar express and my boy's school...
but.
guess what?
my genius brother in law fixed my computer problems.
that means i wasted WAY TO MUCH time editing away this afternoon.
i will leave you with a few from ella's AMAZING birthday trip to disneyland, where she allowed me to take a million pictures of her at the gibson girl!
i know, i know!
i am so lucky!
enjoy!
i am so so glad to be back!

believe me when i say...
there are MORE where that came from!
i REALLLLLY need a real photo editor, huh?
i do everything on picnik still!
it takes for. ever.
oh wow. another thing for me to whine about.
so, never mind.
i am so glad to have picnik and be back to posting my happiness.

ps besides being able to fix computers, ella's uncle shane and his sweet wife, aunt jen, graced ella with that lovely cinderella gown!
she is so blessed!
a little princess!
